Training for the Multi-Engine rating can be completed with or without an Instrument rating. If you already have an Instrument rating & wish to add it to the Multi-Engine rating, additional hours may be required. The Multi-Engine training has two stages and approximately 10 flight hours. Stage one includes the procedures to fly the aircraft in VFR conditions under normal flight procedures.

Stage two adds emergency flight procedures in VFR conditions.
